The commute home was a lot of fun, with people pretending the snow is the reason for their bad behavior. “No, I had to run the red light! There was no way I could have stopped! When it turned yellow I was 2000 feet away! I HAD NO CHOICE!” That and the whole “I’m gonna pretend I didn’t know this lane was a right turn only lane even though I’ve been driving this route for 30 years” bullshit.
All in all we ended up with about 8 inches, which is just right. Any more that and it starts getting unpleasant. I can handle more, but it’s a pain in the ass. (Should I add more double-entendres or is that enough?)

That was ridiculous. I went out to the Rocky Mountain Arsenal yesterday (which was empty but effing cold) and thankfully I left at 4, because dear lord did rush hour become a never ending shitshow. I saw plows out early, what were they doing?!?

It took me about 50 minutes to get from the hospitals downtown to the I-225 & Mississippi area where I live . The roads weren’t even the worst I’d seen but everyone lost their damn minds. I know it was Friday and all, but c’mon.
The funny part was a few hours before that I was in Laramie and it was somewhat sunny and above freezing, and not even windy . Best weather I’d seen all day.

Ours looks like it’s over, and it’s going to be near 40 degrees and sunny. That’ll be followed by a week in the high 40s-low 50s. A lot of this will be gone by Sunday night. This is my favorite type of snowstorm; dump a bunch of snow right as the weekend starts, followed by immediate warmup and melt.

That’ll be Monday.
Colorado’s weather is always this way. I’ve seen it snow in June a couple times.

That is what we do best. I’d never leave willingly. Many of my relatives still live in Michigan and I’m like, “Why?”

Sounds about right.

I’m glad I’m not teaching band this year, Facebook is a giant debate over whether it’s safe to get to the show today.

I looked at traffic because I might have to go into work for a bit. Looks like if people avoid I-70 eastbound and I-225 northbound (and also don’t drive like idiots) they’d be fine.

I live in a slightly sketchy part of the metro area , but it’s perfect. I have all the amenities of living in a large city, but I can escape to the mountains in under 30 minutes.

I seemed like every Uber/lyf t driver was out in their rental cars with summer tires. I swear, every underpass downtown was backed up.

Ugh, and the idiots who straddle two lanes because they are too stupid to actually observe how traffic is flowing? God, I want to use the PIT maneuver on them so bad.

sing it brother!
a little bit of preparedness goes a long way, especially when your state gets 4 seasons a week, sometimes twice a week. at least it’s beautiful out today.
